Leila Namvar got her college degree from Islamic Azad University in Tehran[1], a university founded by Ayatollah Khomeini that has been used to spread Iranian regime ideology and is tied to Iran's nuclear weapons program[2]. Then in 2025, she rallied with a group, holding signs in support of Iran and posting QUOTE "I stand with Iran."[3]

Leila Namvar is endorsed by CAIR, a group that has been designated a terrorist organization and whose leaders have a documented record of extremist statements[4], and she has actively opposed efforts to label CAIR a terrorist organization herself.[5]

She supports socialist policies and donated thousands to socialist candidates[6] who want to defund the police and eliminate private health insurance.[7]

Namvar supports billions of dollars of new taxes - taxes so extreme that even Governor Gavin Newsom opposes them. Studies show her plan would destroy jobs, slash wages, and drive businesses out of California.[1]

Namvar is backed by a group that wants to gut Prop 13 — the law that protects Californians from runaway property taxes. Their plan: $12 billion a year in new property taxes and higher rents.[2]

Namvar's backers are pushing radical environmental mandates that will jack up your gas and utility bills — making it even more expensive to drive to work and keep the lights on.[3]
Namvar is backed by a group that wants to eliminate police, prisons, and jails — and end cash bail so violent offenders walk free. [1]
